8 months
My big girl is having so much fun! She is in a great daily routine. Waking up at six with two-three naps during the day for 45 minutes to an hour and then to sleep by 8. She is growing into a MUCH better overnight sleep routine. That means more sanity for mommy and daddy! We have recently added a lunch meal, usually yogurt and/or finger foods. The girl loves her finger food... It must be the independence! She is crawling all over the place (all day long)... getting into household stuff, playing with toys, laughing at the doggies, pulling up and cruising on EVERYTHING. I love watching her personality come out. She is curious, happy, independent, and sweet on her mommy, daddy, and doggies.

Seven month update
Three words: on the move! This little girly is mobile. She has learned to crawl and pull up this month. Life hasn't stopped since! It makes me so happy to see her exploring the world around her and watch her grin as she finds new things. She loves to smile at family and friends, but really has a thing for strangers in the store? I think it is sweet how she makes a stranger smile going through the Target check out line.
She loves to crawl, pull up, swing, and clap blocks together. She plays well independently, but easily finds her way off the play mat and into something in the room. She is so focused when playing with her toys. She makes a serious face sometimes when she plays that looks like Matt when he focuses on a project. Cute.
She eats two solid meals per days- breakfast and dinner. She has tried lots and lots of homemade baby foods. This girl likes to eat! She nurses 5x during the day and 1-2x overnight. She is starting to enjoy picking up finger foods recently. We have tried cheerios, puffs, and yogurt melts so far. Yogurt melts and cheerios are favorites.
We took two trips this past month. To DC with Emily's parents to visit Barbara and Ryan and to the Outer Banks with Matt's extended family. More pictures to come on those trips...

Half Birthday Girl
Big Girl Eva is half a year old! Our sweet girl is so happy and brings such joy to my heart every day. As you can see in her pictures, she has the BIGGEST grin (in the shape of an O!) that streaks across her face often. Her bright eyes shine when she smiles! (Do I sound like a mommy in love???!)
Currently sitting up independently, rolling, pushing up to all fours, and scooting backwards on tummy.
Eva and Mommy went to the NC mountains with the girls for Ash's bachelorette weekend. We enjoyed hanging out with old friends and making new ones! Eva is getting the hang of the traveling thing.
We spent four days at Kure Beach with the CTK high school youth group. Such a fun group of amazing teenagers. Matt was a small group advisor and Emily was on baby-duty. Eva had a blast! She kept to her schedule, but was definitely go-with-the-flow when needed.
Lots of summertime playdates with our baby friends. Pullen Park, swimming, library story time, downtown Raleigh science museum, and coffee shops (for mommies, of course). It is terribly difficult attempting to photograph three babies!
Getting my hands on EVERYTHING these days.
Loving my solid food once or twice a day. Current favorites: sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, peaches. Approximately 14 lb. Going to the pediatrician this week!
A new love for swings that daddy likes to push fast.
Bubbles at Grammy's house! Eva is spending a day each week at Grammy's and Gram's houses while Mommy goes to her clinical rotation.
Silly Daddy! Love my shades (seriously).

5 months
WOW. This month has been fun. Sweet little baby girl is still so sweet, but she has turned into our big girl!
Lots and lots of firsts this month... solid foods, rolling over (and over and over and over and over), sitting up (sort of) unassisted, riding in the stroller without the car seat, going to nursery at church, big-girl bathtub, library story time.
Eatin' some bananas
Cheesin' on my 5 month birthday

Uncle Mike's NC State graduation. Did I watch? No way. It was more fun to roll over in the grass.
Did I mention that I love my doggies? They make me laugh every day!

Didn't think the new bathtub was cool the first time, but I got used to it.
Riding in my BOB: big girl-style.
5 months captured in photo-form. Trying to MOVE. ALL THE TIME.

(Finally) my first trip to Chapel Hill
Okay, so I went to Chapel Hill a lot in Mommy's tummy because she goes to school and works there, but finally, I got to go back with Mommy and Daddy this weekend.
We parked near the arboretum which has pretty, pretty flowers. Everyone was enjoying a nice, sunny Sunday afternoon.
Then, we walked past the planetarium, which has a HUGE clock in the front yard. Mommy and Daddy said they will bring me back in a few years to go inside.
Next stop was lunch at Pepper's Pizza. Mommy loves to eat here (especially with Aunt Jenn). I slept for a few minutes at lunch, but not for long because sitting at the table is more fun.
Okay, guys. This place has a funny name: "He's Not Here".
Peek-a-boo! I'M HERE!
Now this is what I'm talkin' about. A place that serves milk! Mommy got vanilla with Reese's and Daddy got mint with Reese's.
This is Carrington Hall where Mommy goes to school.
I got a little hungry, so here I am nursing at the nursing school. Punny me.
Much happier now!
Oop! Time for a diaper and outfit change.
Always serious in my BabyBjorn. I get tired of the stroller after a while.
Down south to the bell tower. Mommy said it sings songs, but we didn't hear any.
This place is called The Pit. Daddy says he likes The Pit in Raleigh better (because it has BBQ).
My family!
Last stop at the Old Well. I was getting pretty hot and tired. Time to go home!
A fun day :)
